James K. p. London, a well known farmer of near Big Run died Thursday morning at the age of 67 years. Death was due to complications.
Mr. London was born 26 July, 1851. He married miss Phoebe Owens of Rathmel in 1876. He was a pioneer lumberman in this section of the country, operating the first steam sawmill in Jefferson Co., and was a progressive and up to date farmer.
He served on the School Board of Henderson Twp for many years and was a charter member of the Big Run Lodge of the kinghts of Pythias. He belonged to the Baptist Church of Sykesville. A resident of the vicinity all of his life. Mr. London made many friends by his straightforward business policies and his strict integrity.
He is survived by his widow and six children, as follows; Mrs. S.D. Pifer, of Indiana; E.B. London of Ambridge; Mrs. W.C. Miller at home; Mrs. C.E Shugarts of Indiana, Mrs. A.F. Bowers, of Winber and R Roy London of new London, New Hampshire.
Interment Sykesville Cemetery.
