Lee E Brokaw, 67, a resident of the Miami River-Foley Creek area near Nehalem for the past six years, died Saturday, May 30, in Portland, after a lengthy illness.
Born on Dec. 10, 1913, Mr. Brokaw was a former resident of Portland and a veteran of military service. a retired meat cutter, he loved to fish, hunt and golf with his wife Eunice, whom he married on Jan. 2, 1946 in International Falls, Minn.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice Brokaw, of Nehalem; son, Robert Brokaw of Portland; daughter, Dolores J., of Texas, and Elizabeth J. Taylor, of Illinois; brothers, Clarence Brokaw, of Wyoming, and Donald Luchsinger, of Portland, niece, Gale Stinton of Idaho; 13 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Serves were held Tuesday, June 2, at Hartman's Lundberg and son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wendell L. Coe, of the Tillamook United Methodist Church, officiating.
