Annie O'Briant Ivy, 96, retired from South Central Bell, died Sunday, August 9, 2020 at home. Graveside services are 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Coahoma County Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Lyon, Ms Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
She was employed by Bell South Telephone Company for forty-one years. While living in Virginia, she spent many volunteer hours for various social organizations; working with The Telephone Pioneers of America. She was active in community affairs and was awarded the Woman of Achievement Honor in the state of Mississippi through The Woman's Business and Professional Club. She was a member of Walnut Baptist Church.
Survivors include son Steven Kelcie Edwards (Melba) of Shawsville, VA; step grandson Mike Amos (Stacy) of Roanoke, VA.
Preceded in death by husband of Fifty-three years Robert Kalcie Edwards; husband Darrell Ladean Ivy; stepson Richard Darrell Ivy; brother Harold O'Briant.
