Marilyn J. Balser, 86, of Lafayette, passed away at Franciscan East Hospital on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. She was born in Monon, IN, on October 31, 1935, to the late Raymond E. & Mary Leach Clark. Her marriage was October 9, 1952, to Junior Balser, he survives. Marilyn was a self-employed house cleaner. She was a member of Schuyler Avenue Wesleyan Church. Marilyn loved the outdoors, gardening and bird watching. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as jokester with an active sense of humor.

Surviving with her husband of almost 70 years are her children, Mike (Jetta) Balser, Dave (Sherri) Balser, Lafayette, Keith Balser, all of Lafayette, Rick (Sally) Balser of Brookston, Jerry (Celeste) Balser, Casselberry, FL, and Cindy Fox (Bob Scott) of Lafayette; several grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and a brother, "Toots" Clark of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Hart; four brothers and two sisters.

The family will have a celebration of Marilyn's life at the funeral chapel at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens on Saturday, May 21st from noon until 3 PM.
