Ruby Gordon Jernigan, 95, of Walkersville, Md., formerly of Aulander, NC, passed away at her home, on Thursday, May 4, 2006.
She was born September 1, 1910 in Martinsville, Va. and was the daughter of the late Charlie Posey Parcell and Palie Turner Parcell.
She was a member of the Aulander Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Herbert M. Jernigan and wife, Helen of Smithburg, MD and Gordon Jernigan and wife, Joy of Walkersville, MD; five grandchildren, Troy Jernigan and wife, Lisa, Sean Jernigan, Tabatha Warnert and husband, Noel, Tish Stalnaker and husband, Rusty and Lee Jernigan and wife, Julie; 11 great grandchildren and one sister, Mary Turner of Rocky Mount, VA.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, H. Mitchell Jernigan.
