Samuel was born April 26, 1950, to the late Zach and Ruby Rickman Hooper, he is also preceded in death by his 3 brothers: and 4 sisters. Samuel was an avid truck driver; he drove all over the United States. He loved his family and spending time with his grandson Dalton, he enjoyed driving up the mountain in his 89 Monte Carlo with his grandson.
Left to cherish Samuel's memories are his wife of 45 years Janice Hooper, his son James Hooper of Cruso; daughter Tonya (Jody) Maggard of Cruso; grandson Dalton McGaha of Cruso; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, December 10, 2022, at East Fork Baptist Church with Mark Tice. The family will receive an hour prior to the service.
