Rebecca was the second wife of Riley Casner. The first wife of Riley (Maria) died, as did two of their four children, while they were crossing the desert in CA. Riley and Rebecca were married circa Nov. 1874 in Lake Tahoe, Placer Co., CA. They subsequently moved around CA, eventually returning to Linn Co., OR to assist with the moving of the mother of Riley to AZ.

Riley and Rebecca with the other Casner family members arrived in Yavapai County, AZ in 1875 where they settled on Beaver Creek. Rebecca and her family lived for many years on the Beaver Creek Ranch. The brother to Riley, Mose Casner, lived nearby.

Rebecca and Riley had twelve children:
