Jean was the child of Adolph Lanclos Sr. and Marie Odelia Rivette. His paternal grandparents were Louis Bienvenu Lanclos Sr. and Cecelia Lalonde. His maternal grandparents were Jean Baptiste Rivette and Marie Sylvanie Lalonde. Jean married Marie Celina Robin on 4 Dec 1912. Together they had nine children. They lived most of their lives in Pecaniere, St. Landry, Louisiana, where Jean was a farmer. Around 1950, they moved to Opelousas. Celina passed away in 1968. After her death, Jean met Zoe Miller in Evergreen Village Senior Citizen Home. Jean and Zoe married on 14 Feb 1969. Jean passed away on 24 Feb 1970.
