Marvis Emma 'Rowden' Green, of Nixa, MO., formerly of Salem, Arkansas, daughter of the late John Houston Rowden, Jr. and Sarah Emmaline 'Caruthers' Rowden was born December 6,1914 in Oxford,Izard Co., Arkansas. She departed this life Saturday morning,September 11, 1993, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield Mo., at the age of 78 years,9 months and 5 days.

Marvis was united in marriage to Kenneth R. Green on February 3, 1935, in Alton, MO., and to this union one daughter was born.

Upon conversion at age 14, Marvis was an active church member and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a loving Christian, who will be greatly missed.
