She was born to Irven and Mary Light on October 22, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the second of seven children.
Louise was an amazing Wife, Mother, Mother-In-Law, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, and Friend. Her kindness was felt by anyone she came in contact with.
She married the love of her life, Robert Pistorius, on September 28th, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Louise worked as a resource teacher at Hillsdale Elementary for 25 years. She loved her job helping kids learn and loved the friends she made.
Louise loved to travel and was always looking forward to her next adventure. She loved having her family around her and was famous for her party games and her legendary treats. She loved her brothers and sisters and enjoyed spending time with them.
She is survived by Robert, her loving husband of 66 years, her three children: Jackie, Jeff (Melanie) Pistorius and David (Dawna) Pistorius, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Friday, March 17th, 2023, at McDougal Funeral Home on 4330 South Redwood Road from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. Louise has requested not to have a funeral, but instead to have a private graveside service.
