Marie Cash, 90, of Fordyce,
Died November 19, 1994, at Pine
Bluff.

She was a retired teacher, principal,
and guidance counselor in the
Fordyce School District.

She was a graduate of the University
of Arkansas and received her Master
of Arts degree from the University of
Colorado. She studied guidance at
Missouri, Houston, and Michigan
State Universities and was honored as
the most outstanding guidance
counselor in Arkansas. She taught
social studies at Fordyce for 25 years
and was the Arkansas Teacher of the
Year in 1961. She was one of the
founders of the Fordyce High School
Scholarship Association.

She was preceded in death by a sister,
Cora Boyd. Survivors include a brother
Ottis Cash, and two sisters, Doris Smith,
and Mildred Miles.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 pm
Tuesday at Benton Funeral Home at
Fordyce. Burial will be in Greenwood
Cemetery at Rison.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
made to the Fordyce Scholarship
Association.
