She was born to the late Jonas Partee Austin and Nellie Cline Austin on Tuesday, August 2, 1938, in Alexander County.
She was a member of Shiloh Lutheran Church and loved crafting, painting, and spending time with her family.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Hefner, and thirteen brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held at Shiloh Lutheran Church, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, and the funeral will begin at 2:00 pm.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
