Funeral services for Opal C. Dugger, 79, of Temple, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Taylor's Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Loudin officiating. Burial will be in Holland Cemetery.

Mrs. Dugger was born to Henry and Amelia Ann Chafin in Pearl, Texas on March 1, 1928. She was a graduate of King's Daughters Hospital School of Nursing and prior to her retirement, was employed as a Registered Nurse with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple for 35 years. She was a member of Taylor's Valley Baptist Church. She was a lifelong resident of Bell County.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Dugger of Sugarland; three sons, Larry Dugger of Plano, Kenneth Dugger of Prosper, and James Dugger of Temple; one sister, Mavis Ballard of Gatesville; one brother, Clois "Buck" Chafin of Killeen; three grandchildren; and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Dugger on October 25, 1998.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:30-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Taylor's Valley Baptist Church.
