Mrs. Dorothy Ann Whitmore, 67, of LaGrange passed away Monday, October 30, 2006, at West Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Whitmore was born November 26, 1938, in Heard County, and was the daughter of the late Joe Nathan and Lizzie Leona Parmer Gosdin. She had lived here most of her life and was a member of Callaway Park Church of God.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, James A. Whitmore; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Fred Lee all of LaGrange; sisters, Fayzell Berry, Betty McCollough, Pairzelle Rushing; brother, Winston Gosdin; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rachel and Oscar Bethea, Liz Hicks, Loyce Parker and Sherman Whitmore; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 Thursday at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Rev. Chad Smith officiating. Interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
