The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, with burial in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was born Sept. 10, 1918, in Heard County, daughter of Joe and Lizzie Parmer Gosdin. She lived in Troup County 61 years, retired from the old Callaway Mills Co., and was a member of Callaway Park Church of God, LaGrange. She was the widow of Truitt W. Smith.
Survivors include a daughter, Cloie Jay Carter of Perryville, Ark.; a son, Doil Smith of Dalton; five sisters, Betty McCullough, Pairzelle Rushing, both of Valley, Ala., Fayezelle Berry, Judy Helms and Dorothy Whitmore, all of LaGrange; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
