VALLEY - Mrs. Betty Sue Gosdin McCollough, 70, of Valley died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 at her residence.

Funeral services are planned for Thursday, Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Chad Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Lanett.

Mrs. McCollough is survived by her husband of 31 years, John A. McCollough; two sisters, Pairzell Rushing of Valley and Fayzell Berry of LaGrange; a brother, Winston Gosdin of LaGrange; a special niece, Linda Bryan of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews.

Born Dec. 15, 1936 in Heard County, Ga., Mrs. McCollough was the daughter of the late Lizze Leona Parmer Gosdin and Joe Nathan Gosdin. She was a retired employee of West Point Pepperell's Lanier Mill. Mrs. McCollough enjoyed going to church and listening to gospel music. She was a member of Callaway Park Church of God in LaGrange.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 3 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
