Kenneth Allison - June 14, 1933 - February 4, 2023

Kenneth E. Allison, 89 of Glen Rock, PA entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at home of natural causes. Born June 14, 1933, he was the son of the late Clair R. Allison and Elsie M. (Meckley) Allison.

Kenny graduated in 1951 from Glen Rock High School. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War from 1953-1955. He retired from a lifelong career at Caterpillar in 1992 at his target age of 58.

In his prime, Kenny was a well-known and skilled baseball catcher, playing in many of the local leagues in the Southern York County area. Together with his two pitching brothers, they were quite the feared baseball battery for many years.

Kenny was a member of New Freedom Church of the Brethren. He was a member of the Glen Rock Historic Preservation Society, Buckhorn Camp Inc. in Dauphin County, and the Stewartstown VFW. Kenny was an avid collector of anything "Glen Rock". He could often be found at local auctions and public sales trying to find any item to add to his impressive Glen Rock collection. He adored being outdoors and loved gardening, metal detecting, hunting, and fishing. His homegrown tomatoes and broccoli were second to none and enjoyed by many of his family and neighbors. He was a huge sports fan and faithfully followed the Orioles, Ravens, and Wizards. He was particularly fond of Polka music and rarely missed an episode of Molly B's Polka Party on Saturday nights. He was a wonderful soul who did things his way...and will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

The family would like to extend thanks to his many faithful neighbors who assisted him and kept an eye on him during his last few years of declining health.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Eugene R. (Mooney) Allison and Robert L. (Knobby) Allison both of Glen Rock, PA.

Kenny is survived by sons Bradley Allison and wife Wynne of Glen Rock, PA, Max Allison and wife Vicke of Seven Valleys, PA, and Fritz Allison and wife Nicki of York New Salem, PA, grandchildren Katelin and husband Nick Rock, Jared, Lacey, Brock and Evan, great-grandchildren Aaron and Jaxson, former spouse Maureen Allison Beck of York, PA, one nephew and one niece.

Visitation will be Friday, February 10, 2023 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Geiple-Predicce Funeral Home, 53 Main St. Glen Rock, PA. A Memorial Service with viewing opportunities beforehand will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. The public is invited to participate in both celebrations.

In honor of Kenny, memorial contributions may be made to the Glen Rock Historic Preservation Society, P.O. Box 102, Glen Rock, PA 17327.
