Margie Vawter was called Home on February 6, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born to Father, Noah Elbert Ellison, and mother Laura Ethel Ellison on January 5, 1930 in Union Chapel Community, Oklahoma. Margie met and married the love of her life Thomas Vawter. Margie was known to be a bit of an introvert and Thomas was an extravert which made them the perfect match for each other. Margie had many hobbies such as her love for reading, gardening especially flowers, cross word puzzles, and cross stitching. She will be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Margie is reunited in Heaven with her husband, Thomas Vawter; father, Noah Elbert Ellison; mother, Laura Ethel (Dobyns) Ellison; and four siblings: Barbara, Emma, Bill, and Elbert. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Tommy Vawter; son, Terry Vawter and wife Laura; daughter, Cheryl McLaughlin; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; as well as numerous other family and friends who will miss Margie dearly.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens 1413 E. Irving Blvd. Irving, Texas 75060.
