According to books on the Roby Cemetery Mary's grave was marked with native stone marker listing only her birth date and under the name her family called her "Molie J. Wilson".
Family tradition holds that Mary Jane died while removing a turkey from the oven being prepared for Thanksgiving, thus her daughter Ruth would never cook turkey for any meal.
