Burial was in the Loraine Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral

Mr. Cheek died at 10:45 a.m. Monday in the Loraine Nursing Home and he had
been ill since suffering a stroke in August.
Born July 23, 1898, in Mississippi, Cheek married Addie Bell Boyd Sept. 10,
1918 in Oklahoma. He was a retired Loraine restaurant owner, and had lived
in Loraine 51 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Young of Loraine and
Mrs. Ecla Mae Jones of Kingsland; a son, M. D. of Odessa; two sisters, Mrs.
Judson Scrivner of Midland and Mrs. Louise McCoy of McAlister, Oklahoma,
two brothers, Merle of Midland and Ed of Freeport; eight grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Luther Anders, Gene Britton, Top Lucas, Jake Hock, Willie
Taylor and Woodrow Pratt.
