Michael Paul Henson, 71, of Muskogee was born April 21, 1951, in Muskogee to George and Evelyn (Steiner) Henson and peacefully passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023, in Tulsa, OK.
Mike grew up in Muskogee where he attended school. He furthered his education and received an associate degree. Mike enlisted in the United States Navy on May 29th, 1969, in Muskogee, OK serving 1 tour in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George Henson, Gary Henson and Phillip Clift; sisters, Peggy Henson, Alice Shelton Henson, Lawana Collins, Wanda Buchert and Magneline Henson.
Mike was survived by his wife, Rhonda of the home; daughters, Dawn (Henson) and husband, Paul Osborne, Malaynee (Schneider) and husband, Ryan Gassaway, Jyll (Henson) and husband, Jimmy Sinor, Crystal and husband, Tommy Love, and Amber Mongold; sons, Brock Henson, James Mongold; sisters, Violet Riley, Judy Whittenberg, Ruby Henson, Vernoyise Ford and Joyce Davis; many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A visitation with family to greet friends will be 3PM-5PM Sunday, January 29, 2023, at funeral home. A celebration of Mike's life will be 11AM Monday, January 30, 2023, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Gibson with Pastor Phillip LaFave officiating.
