08/28/1930 - 01/01/2023 Barbara Jean Henthorn peacefully left this world on her journey with the Lord on January 1, 2023. Barb was born to William and Thelma (Hare) Foran in St. Maries, Idaho, on August 28, 1930. She joined her brother Bill at the family home. Her family later settled in Point Loma, CA, where she attended local elementary schools and graduated from Point Loma High School in 1949. This is where she also began her love of the beach and the ocean. Barb attended San Diego State, where she met her husband, Bob Henthorn. They married May 21, 1950. They started their family in San Bernardino CA, where they welcomed 3 sons and a house full of love, fun, and testosterone. After many years in the Inland Empire, they moved to Carlsbad, CA. Barb was back home! Barb was a gifted athlete and loved the game of golf. She was the Women's Club Champion for multiple years at Arrowhead CC, in San Bernardino. She also loved the San Diego golf courses, especially the San Luis Rey Golf Club. Barb was also a talented artist, seamstress, needlepoint master, and gardener. She made beautiful personalized gifts for her family and friends. She was a kind and generous person and her love of dogs was consistent. She always had a loyal furry friend throughout her life. She is survived by her sons, Steve (Diane), Bruce (Stacy), David (Laura) Henthorn; sister-in-law, Nancy Foran; grandchildren, Chris (Rachel) Matt (Cecilia), Scott, Bryan, Bryce (Kimmie), and Bria Henthorn.
