Thelma was married to William Thomas Foran on Sept. 20, 1922, in Casper, WY. William was a well-known geologist for an oil company and an oil prospector to foreign countries.

Obituary:
Longtime county resident Thelma Lucille Foran died Saturday in her North County home. She was 87. She was born Thelma Hare in Kendrick, Idaho, and grew up there, graduating from the University of Idaho. After traveling with her family, in 1940 she settled in San Diego.

Mrs. Foran retired from the accounting department of Security Pacific Bank in 1965. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, American Association of Bank Women, Quota International, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Tau Omega, and the American Association of Woman Accountants.

She is survived by her son, William L. Foran of Oceanside; her daughter, Barbara Henthorne of San Bernardino; a brother, Fletcher Hare of Bozeman, Mont.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The Oceanside Mortuary will handle the cremation and burial at sea. No formal services will be held(San Diego Union, The (CA) - Monday, January 4, 1988).
