Betty Lou Simpson, 91, of Highland CA passed away on January 13, 2023 after living a very full life. She was born in Oklahoma City and returned often to visit her beloved family. She moved to California in 1955. Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Afton G. (Joe) Simpson, her father Thomas Mankin, mother Bonnie Mankin, and three brothers, Frank Alsup, Rollie Mankin and James Mankin. She is survived by a son, Allen G. Simpson and wife Cindy of Prescott AZ, and two daughters, Lela M. Paramo and husband Jack of Highland CA and Denise C. Blakeslee and husband Kevin of Banning CA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, April Levin and husband Sean, Jacob Paramo and wife Kaitlin, Matthew Paramo and wife Nicole, Andrew Simpson and wife Kindra, Hayley Lindroth and husband Cameron, Kristin Syverson and husband Cory, Kimberly Huisken and husband Colin as well as seven great grandchildren, Lucy, August, Roslynn, Luna, Tyce, Violet and Jax with two more little bundles of joy on the way plus numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was devoted to her children. Her passion was making quilts, crafts, crocheting and sewing. She loved her church friends like family and loved God even more. Betty's service will be held on Wednesday February 1st, 2023 at the Highland Church of Christ, 26814 Cypress St., Highland CA starting at noon. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Joe at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Salvation Army.
