He is survived by his wife Martha Ardella of Harrah and a sister Betty Sue Simpson who resides in Highland California.

He also leaves behind a daughter and her husband, Felicia and Michael Strange of Harrah, and two sons, Alan Cahill and his wife Princess of Choctaw and Philip Cahill of Midwest City.

He leaves 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews as well. They all loved to sit and listen to papa's great stories and enjoyed his wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

He served our country as a Marine in WWII and braved battles, engagements, skirmishes, and expeditions in Vella LaVetta Island (B.S.I.) from August 20, 1943 to June 24, 1944. He served on a Navy ship as a Heavy Anti-aircraft Gun Crewman-601 in the Asiatic Pacific area from January 23rd 1944 to October 31, 1945. He was honorably discharged Corporal on February 12th, 1946.

One of the places he served during his time as a Marine was on Pelelue. He brought back many stories and pictures that he shared with family. He especially loved to talk about that 5 man guncrew he served on.

He spent his last two years in the Wolfe Living Center in Harrah. He was well cared for and found many wonderful friends. Hospice was there in every way to ease his transition from this life.

He passed with ease and was very peaceful with loved ones at his side.

His wife Martha wishes to say how grateful she is to all those who lovingly cared for him these last two years. She thanks you from the bottom of her heart and prays that God blesses you.
