MURRELLS INLET - Lurline Byars Stedman, 97, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at St. Gabriel's Assisted Living in Murrells Inlet. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
Mrs. Stedman was born in Marion County a daughter of the late Luther and Lurline Patton Byars. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John Stedman; and brothers, Johnny Byars and Pat Byars. Mrs. Stedman served many years on the Board for Marion National Bank. She was also involved with the Girl Scouts and the local garden club. She was a member of Belin United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, SC.
Surviving are her daughter, Lurline S. Fishburne (Henry) of Charleston; three sons, Alex Stedman (Kathy) of Marion, Pat Stedman of Marion, and Warren Stedman (Beth) of Murrells Inlet; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
