ABRAHAM HEROD, 88 years of age, was found dead in bed early last Thursday morning by his daughter, with whom he made his home, on the old homestead on Route 4, Farmington. The body was taken to the Boyer Funeral Home, where it remained until Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were held there at 2 o'clock by Rev. George Walker of Herculaneum and interment was made in the Herod Cemetery, east of Desloge. He was united in marriage to Mary Frances Carrow on March 4, 1870. To this union, six children were born, two sons having preceded their parents in death. Mrs. Herod died on August 19, 1936. He is survived by three daughters and one son: Mrs. Berta Blue of Farmington, Mrs. Mary Pigg of St. Louis, Mrs. Lola Gibson of Desloge and Wendell Herod of Herculaneum.
