Mary Frances Pigg died June 25, 1963, at the advanced age of 89 years 11 months 9 days.
Funeral services were conducted at the Bert Boyer Funeral Chapel, June 27, at 2 p.m. by Rev. Chester Pulliam, pastor of the Methodist Church. Interment Herod Cemetery. Bert Boyer Service.
She was born at Shelbyville, Illinois, July 16, 1873, the daughter of the late Abraham and Mary Carrow Herod. On Sept. 30, 1891, she was united in married to Ricard Pigg.
To this union four daughters were born; one, Florence Limmer, preceded her mother in death. She is survived by the other three daughters, Mrs. Mary Moore, Mrs Nellie Tetley and Mrs. Bertha Lefler; one brother, A. Wendell Herod of Herculaneum. She was the sister of Bertha Blue, Lola Gibson, and Barney Herod, all deceased.
She leaves six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, and one great, great, grandchild.
She was a life long member of the Methodist Church.
