Mary Zerelda Allison

Mary Zerelda Allison daughter of James and Ann Philips Allison born July 11, 1859 died May 12, 1938, age 78 years, 10 months and one day. She was born in Monroe township and lived her entire life there with the exception of 2 years which she lived on a farm near Brink Haven. She was united in marriage to Milton G. Bird Feb. 10, 1881. To this union was born four children, Miss Lena Bird of the home, Mrs. Neta Buren of Barberton, Mr. Curtis Bird of near home and Mrs. Burnice Davenport of the home and three grandchildren, Miss Madellin Bird of near the home and Delbert and Wilmer Davenport of the home also one brother D. E. Allison of near Welcome and one sister Mrs. May Cline of Angola, Ind., and a host of relatives and friends. Her husband preceded her in death 2 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Bird lived together to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary which was an enjoyable event to them and their family and relatives and friends. Mrs. Bird confessed her faith in Christ when a young woman in the Welcome church and remained a member there until death. She was a kind and loving neighbor and
was loved by all who knew her.
