Ellen Louise Murdy Crane, age 80, of Pensacola, Florida passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008. Mrs. Crane was born November 29, 1927 in Camp, Arkansas to Bert Hezekiah Abney and Martha Melvin Lee Abney. She married Neil Irvin Murdy on June 20, 1944. Mrs. Murdy moved to Pensacola, FL in 1975 where she worked at Santa Rosa Florist in Pea Ridge for 11 years. Later she did alterations for Modern Cleaners and eventually started alterations by Louise working from home. She loved to sew and grow flowers in her yard. Mrs. Crane was a sweet person and had a funny sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Crane held the Lord and her family close to her heart.
Preceding her in death was her husband, her son; David Murdy, her parents; and her 7 brothers.
Survivors include her children; Jerry (Elaine) Murdy, Carl (Sonja) Murdy and Sheila (Keary) Allen, 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 sister; Dollie Murdy.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North-Cantonment from 6 pm until 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11:00 am at Carter's Funeral Home, 1316 Porter Wagoner, West Plains, MO.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 22, 2008 at Carter?s Funeral Home in West Plains, MO. from 7 pm until 8 pm.
Interment will follow at Howell Valley Cemetery.
