Mabel L. Abney, 75, Independence, formerly of Ozark, died Sunday, June 2, 1991, at the Independence, Mo., Regional Health Center. She was born in Alum Creek, W. Va., and moved to Missouri in 1951. She lived in Ozark with her husband, Thomas C. Abney Sr., from 1988 to 1990. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include her husband, Thomas C. Abney Sr., of the home; a son, Thomas C. Abney Jr.; Ozark, a daughter, Linda Rea, Joplin; and three grandchildren. Services were Tuesday, June 4, in Newcomer's Floral Hills Chapel. Burial was in Floral Hill Cemetery.
