Wally was united in marriage to Jerry Ann Bristol on September 8, 1956 at the Methodist Church in Lewistown. Beginning in 1957, Wally became a self-employed rancher/farmer. Wally was a member of the Masonic Lodge (Western Star No. 104 AF and AM), Eastern Star (Chapter #72), Farm Bureau, F.O. Eagles, Coffee Creek School Board, Denton School Board for 16 years (Chair for 2 years).
You may have seen Wally or known him as the "camera guy" at many 7C sporting events, surrounding area athletic contests, and district tournaments. Photography was his way of being a supportive fan without getting into trouble. He delighted in watching and catching photos of his own children and grandchildren as well as many others he provided great memories for.
Wally is survived by his children: Warren (Monie) Ayers, Myron (Rebecca) Ayers, Karla (Tomas) Gallegos, Dwight (Michele) Ayers, and Dennis (Kristi) Ayers; grandchildren, Amanda (Arby) Gray, Ryan (Megan) Ayers, Denise (Jody) Brotherwood, JR Ayers, Joe Ayers, Carrie Ayers, Lisa (Alex) Esparza, Annie (Tyson) Romanick, Robert (Olivia) Ayers, Ruben (Kim) Gallegos, SueAnn (Ramon) Galvan, Sara Butler, Cole Ayers, Jacy Ayers, Sonya Ayers, Jacob Ayers, and Jessica Ayers; 29 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Denton Methodist Church on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment with Mason Rites will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Denton. A luncheon will be shared at the Denton Town Hall following the graveside service. Memorial donations can be made to the Denton Ambulance Fund or the Denton Methodist Church.
