Harley Absher
Harley Absher, age 66, Rogersville, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Avery and Lula Mae Ferrell Absher; two brothers, Coy Absher and Doyle Absher.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen Davis Absher; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Jeff R. Wallace, Rogersville; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lee and Foster Turner, Rogersville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2000, at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2000, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ray Mullins officiating. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2000, in Highland Cemetery.
