Doyle W. Absher, age 60, Rogersville, was DOA Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999, at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

He was a past employee of American Enka Corp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lula Ferrell Absher; and a brother, Coy Absher.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Gibson Absher of the home; a daughter, Michelle Absher, Rogersville; a granddaughter, Tabitha Simpson, Rogersville; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lee and Foster Turner, Rogersville; a brother and sister-in-law, Harley and Eileen Absher, Rogersville; a niece, Angela Wallace, Rogersville; and a special great-niece, Laura Willis, Kingsport.

Calling hours will be 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999, at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999, in the funeral home chapel with Revs. Ray Mullins and Basil Jones officiating. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, in the Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
