Maggie was the fourth child and only daughter of Arthur L. Tinsley and Elizabeth M. Scott.

While Maggie was a baby, her parents moved the family from Missouri to California, where she met her husband, William Leander Davis Dysart. They were married 28 September 1884, in Fresh Water District, Colusa county, California. Shortly after marriage, they moved north, eventually settling in Walla Walla, Washington.

Maggie and William had six children - Carl, Dott, Lulu, Dean, Mildred and Williebelle.

Maggie and William had 24 grandchildren. Maggie was preceded in death by granddaughter Josepha Rosabelle Fitch.
