John and Mary had several children,
However the following Aubrey was the child of John and 1st wife Almira WHITE.
1)Aubrey Trull BARNES b.Sept 30, 1872 Rockford ILL m. 6/01/1898 KATHARINE MARVIN KEELER in WINNEBAGO County worked for his dad and uncle.
2)Mary E. BARNES b. abt 1876
3)Harriett L. BARNES b. abt 1878 married??? had children Harold Irving, Eleanor, Barbara.
4)John S BARNES b.1881 d. 9-19-1933 worked for his dad and uncle.

John and his brother W. Fletcher, held several patents, invented pedal run wood working tools and with his brother ran WF & John Barnes Company in Rockford, . His brother B. Franklin BARNES left the company and went on to form Barnes Drill Company abt 1907, John remained in partnership with his brother W.FLetcher and his son J.S. Barnes took over the company.
