Florence Lemaster,93, died Wednesday, February 15 at her home at Winifred after an extended illness. Mrs. Lemaster was born October 29,1884 in Johnson County, daughter of the late Dave and Katherine Wheeler Harris. She was a member of the Old United Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Bascom Lemaster, who died on August 21,1959. Florence and Bascom were married on July 20,1899. Surviving are four sons, Roy Lemaster of Winifred, John Lemaster of Paintsville, Raleigh Lemaster of Marion, IN, and Virgil Lemaster of Flat Gap; two daughters, Mayme Campbell of Marion and Erma Lyons of Blaine; one brother, Jim Harris of Patton, IA; 26 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 18, at the Old Hood United Baptist Church with Tommy Bailey and O.I. Williams officiating. Burial was in the Lemaster Cemetery at Winifred with the Preston Funeral Home handling arrangements. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, February 22,1978
