Gertrude May Westbay, 83, of Clinton, died at 12:15 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, 1984, at the DeWitt County Nursing Home, Hallsville.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Herington-Calvert Funeral Home with the Rev. C. Don Ferrill officiating. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., tonight, Monday, January 23, at the Herington-Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton.
Memorials may be made to the Dr. John Warner Hospital.
Mrs. Westbay was born September 6, 1900, in Moultrie County, Illinois, the daughter of William T. and Mary H. (Hopkins) Griswold. She married Floyd Westbay, September 20, 1922, in Springfield. He died November 19, 1974.
Surviving are: one son, Jack D. Westbay, Decatur, three daughters, Mrs. Mary Hoyt, Clinton, Betty J. Westbay and Norma Kolster, both of Pasadena, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Irene Ankrom, Argenta; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Four brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Westbay was a member of the First Christian Church in Clinton.
