Mrs. Hersey was born August 15, 1925, in Felton, a daughter of the late Michael E. and Ruth H. (Lutz) Seitz.
She graduated from Red Lion High School in 1943. She was employed with the former Cole Steel for 28 years, as a Clerk in the Payroll Department until her retirement in 1988. A member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church in Felton, she was also a member of the York County Society of Farm Women #9 in Dallastown, AARP, and the United Methodist Women at Cross Roads U.M. Church.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hersey is survived by her son, Jeffrey D. Hersey and his wife, Linda of Felton; grandson, Brad A. Hersey and his wife, Kjrsten of Crofton, Md.; great-grandson, Grayson D. Hersey; two brothers, Carl E Seitz and Joseph W. Seitz, both of Red Lion; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
Burial will be held in Stewartstown Cemetery.
