MINNIE B. BAIRD

Mrs. Baird, 80, of 419 Cherry Ave. died at 8:15 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 20, 1983, in Altoona Hospital, after a lengthy illness.

She was born Jan. 15, 1903, in Mill Creek, the daughter of George and Emma (Bowser) Snack, and married Calvin B. Baird, who died June 26, 1973.

Surviving are five children: Shirley Sarvis and Ted of Altoona, John of East Freedom, Geraldine Sheffield of Huntingdon RD 1 and Dorothy Pandolfino of Huntingdon: 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters: Bertha Sotack of Blacklick and Ethel Giordano of Mill Creek.

Mrs. Baird was a member of the Fourth Lutheran Church.

She was a member of the Juniata Auxiliary of the VFW.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home.

BAIRD – Services for Minnie B. Baird of 419 Cherry Ave. will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home, by the Rev. Philip Lambdin. Interment in Mountainview Cemetery, Mill Creek. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. A son, George preceded her in death in 1976.
