Chesterfield, SC Mrs. Dot Eddins Pender, age 91, wife of the late Gerald E. Pender, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday evening, November 20, 2022.

Mrs. Pender was born October 3, 1931 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late
Cull and Laura Freeman Eddins

Cindy P. (John) Beard of Chesterfield, SC
Shelia (Ricky) Hodges of Hartsville, SC

Walker Hodges and Pres Beard

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Pine Grove Baptist Church by Pastor Mark Phillips and the Honorable Rep. Pastor Richie Yow with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

In keeping with Mrs. Dot's tradition and preference, everyone attending the service at the church is asked to back into their parking space!

She was a retired employee of Chesterfield Webbing and a former employee of Hartsville Manufacturing. A life-long faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, Dot was very active throughout the years in the W.M.U. – Baptist Women, Adult Choir, Sunday school teacher, children's activities, and various other committees involving preparing meals.

Mrs. Pender was the first recipient of the church's Mother of the Year in 1987. She was known as the true matriarch of her family and loved them unconditionally. Dot also enjoyed gardening, watching Clemson football, and watching her favorite television show, The Price is Right.
