Catherine Leona (McFarlane) Farison, 90, of Gladwin, died Friday, March 2, 2001 at Gladwin Pines Nursing Home following a short illness.
Born July 12, 1909* in Freeland, she lived in Gladwin County since 1991 and previously lived in Atlanta. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are five daughters, Marge and husband Henry Stone, and Ruth Nimphie, all of Beaverton, Ellen and husband Clarence Ropp of Midland, Shirley Foreman of Gladwin, and Iona and husband John Grady of Sault Ste. Marie; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Douglas.
Services were held Friday. In accordance with her wishes, Catherine has been cremated. Those wishing to make memorial contributions should contact Marge Stone.
Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin, was in charge of the arrangements.
