Perlina and all her siblings were born in Parke County, Indiana. In about 1848, her whole family moved to Delaware County, Indiana where many of her Mote extended family already lived.
Perlina married Joseph S Carson on 26 Nov 1853 and they promptly had two children, Isaiah W, born in 1856, and Nancy C, born in 1858. By the 1860 Census, Perlina and her two children were living with her parents, as evidently, she was a widow.
On 23 May 1867, she married Moses N Dunlap, a widower with two children, but Perlina's two children had already died.
By 1872 her (EX-?) husband was in Santa Cruz, California and we don't find Perlina again until her death in the insane asylum in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana.
