OBITUARY :
GEORGE ELMER HARBAUGH, 85, Blue Ridge Summit, died at 12:45 Saturday morning at the Garlick Nursing Home, Hagerstown. He had been in failing health for the last six months and for the last six weeks had been a patient at the Nursing Home. Prior to that, he had been a patient at the hospital for a month.

He was born in Harbaugh's Valley, the son of Carlton J. and Amanda (Wagaman) Harbaugh. He lived his entire life in the Valley and at Blue Ridge Summit.

His early life he had farmed. Thirty years ago he started a taxi service from Sabillasville to the Sanatorium. Ten years ago he retired.

He was a member of St. Jacob's Evangelical and Reformed Church of Harbaugh's Valley, and served as a director of the Blue Ridge Summit Bank since its organization.

His wife, Nora C. Harbaugh, died in January of 1944.

He is survived by a son, Chester W. Harbaugh of Blue Ridge; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Dutrow and Mrs. Hattie Sprenkle, both of Harrisburg, and Mrs. Nettie Kipe, Fairfield.

Funeral service today at 3 o'clock from, the St. Jacob's Church in charge of Rev. C. H. Corl. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
