Orman D. Allen, age 89, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Born April 30, 1932, in Trigg County, he was the son of the late Noble Allen and Deltie Cook Allen. Orman was a United States Army veteran and was retired from Elk Brand Manufacturing where he worked as a cutter for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Mae Vowell Allen, in 2005; two brothers, Robert Kelly Allen and Corbett Allen; three sisters, Myrna Loy Sholar, Goldie Mae Fowler, and Sylvie Allen; and a grandson, Anthony Allen.
He is survived by seven sons, Gary Allen, Robert (Trudy) Allen, both of Cadiz, Mike (Sherry) Allen of Herndon, KY, John Allen, Kerry Allen, both of Cadiz, Carl (Angie) Allen of Hopkinsville, and Jeff (Kim) Allen of Cadiz; three daughters, Patricia Fuller of Cadiz, Penny (Matt) Clayton of Lawrenceville, GA, and Donna Allen of Cadiz; two brothers, Grady L. (Betty) Allen of Nashville, TN, and Franklin L. Allen of Cadiz; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville, with the Reverend Jamus Redd officiating. Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, is in care of arrangements.
