ILLNESS FATAL TO WOMAN, 34
Rites Sunday for Mrs. Ethel Manning
Ill for the past month and in a serious condition for three weeks, Mrs. Ethel Lucille Manning, 34, wife of William Manning, of Highland Addition, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Memorial hospital.
Mrs. Manning was born in Greenup, Illinois on February 24, 1919. When a small girl she moved with her parents, Roy and Earnie (Sarchett) Jones, to the Milford community in Decatur county. Since that time she has spent most of her life in and near Greensburg.
Her marriage to William Manning occurred in Greensburg on February 19, 1937.
Surviving with the husband are four children, Melena Joan, Patricia Ann, Jerry Lee and Sandra Kay Manning; all at home; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jones, of Milford; three brothers, Kenneth Jones and Preston Jones, of Milford, and Walter Jones of Greensburg; one sister, Mrs. Marjorie Carter of Clifty; several nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Funeral rites will be Sunday at the Wenning & Porter Funeral Home. The Rev. Zeus McKibban will officiate. Burial will be made in the Sandcreek Cemetery.
