Rebecca Annie Vaughn Austin, age 80 of Austinville, lovingly known as "Maw Maw Annie", passed away at her home on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

She was born in the Iron Ridge Section of Carroll County on August 28, 1942, to the late Steven Daniel and Susie Webb Vaughn.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Mickey Austin; and siblings, Barbara Vaughn, Gladys Vaughn, Ophelia Goad, Delmer Vaughn, Dessie White, Glendye Vaughn, Guida Hillick, Marshall Vaughn, Ray Vaughn, John Vaughn, and Coy Vaughn.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters and sons-in-law, Renee and Jimmy Young and Amy and Patrick Sykes, all of Austinville; grandchildren, Alyssa Payge Sykes, Adyn Blake Sykes, Declan Trace Sykes, Dagan Michael Sykes, and Brylan Fore-Sykes; great-grandson, Kolton Everett Okoa Sykes; special nieces, Beverly Phillips, Edna Grubb, and Mindy Vaughn Pedrero; and siblings, Bob Vaughn of Navarre, OH and Dean Vaughn of Austinville.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Pleasant View Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Travis Vaughn, Bobby Phillips, Jody Marshall, Adyn Sykes, Declan Sykes, and Ethan Ayers are serving as pallbearers and Dagan Sykes and Brylan Fore-Sykes are honorary pallbearers. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
