Serell operated a small dairy, cattle and sheep ranch for most of his life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.
He was preceded in death, by his wife, Laverne, one son DeVon, parents and all brothers and sisters.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Jo Hurd, Pollock, Idaho; Dale and Dorothy Hurd, St George; daughter-in-law Mary Kay, Jacksonville, Florida; 10 grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, several great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
