Frank Lane Key was the youngest child of Thomas Alfred and Catherine (Morris) Key. He was born in Gotebo, lived and worked there, until the start of WWII. He joined the Army Air Corp and was mainly in the China/Burma/India theatre of operations. After returning, he went to the dry cleaning school in Silver Springs MD. There were few stains he couldn't get out of clothing. He was an outstanding leather worker. People from all the surrounding states would send their leather for him to clean, especially ladies white leather gloves.

He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Michigan Avenue Baptist Church, in Chickasha OK, where the family attended.
