My grandmother was actually born in Stringtown, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory. Don't know how long the family was in Stringtown; but, the next information I have is that they were in Jack Co., TX. Eventualy they ended up south of what is now Dill City, in Washita Co., across the road from Thomas Alfred Key, her future husband.

From the March 6, 1952 Gotebo Record:

Mrs. Catherine E. Key, a pioneer Gotebo resident, died Feb. 28th at Chickasha following a stroke which she suffered seven days earlier. She was born July 21, 1875 in Indian Territory at what is now Stringtown. Survivors include two sons, Leonard and Lane Key, both of Chickasha; a daughter, Mrs. Minnie K. Held of Mt. Royal NJ and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Reeves of Oklahoma City.
